Purpose of Printing Survey:

My survey was on printing at GGC and whether each student should be allowed a certain number of pages to print out each semester for free.  I felt that this was an important issue because not everyone is lucky enough to have a printer of their own that they can use anytime they need to.  These students without personal printers may also not have spare change to use for printing out their papers on campus.  This semester alone I had to print twenty copies of a seven page paper that I had written so each student in my class could receive a copy, along with several other papers for this class and others.  If I had to pay for each page to be printed out this would have added up.  I feel that each semester students at GGC should be allowed a certain number of pages to be printed out on campus at no cost.

Student Responses to Survey

The first question on my survey was asking if the student had a printer that was available to them at all times.  Only 3 out of 6 students said yes.  For the second question I asked how often each person uses a printer and 3 people said 1-3 times a week, while the other 3 people said 1-3 times a month.  The next question was if the student had ever used a printer on GGC's campus or not.  Only 2 out of the 6 people said no, which means a majority of people have.  For the next question I aksed if he or she thought each student should be allowed a certain number of pages to print out for free on campus.  A majority of the people that took my survey said yes.  The fifth question asked about how many pages each student prints out each semester, and most of the people surveyed said more than 20 pages.  The final question on my survey asked if his or her personal printer was not working, would it be convenient to print it off at GGc and not have to worry about having spare money with you.  Everyone responded to the last question with a yes.
